Manufactured by Fabrique Nationale Herstal, the FS2000 is an innovative semi-automatic bull-pup carbine. It is modelled after its military counterpart the F2000 which is in use by Belgian, Croatian, Indian, & Polish (GROM) special forces. The F2000 is also the standard service rifle of the Slovenian army and the Saudi Arabian National Guard.
The FS2000 has several futuristic and unique characteristics that set it aside from other semi-automatic carbines. It is fully ambidextrous, which is made possible in part by its unique forward ejection system. Five rounds can be fired before the ejection opening door opens and the casings fall out. Left-handed shooters no longer have to brave having hot casings flung into their face, nor do other shooters on the range have to brave the same. The casings fall in a neat pile in front of the shooter. The fire selector, magazine release, and charging handle are easily reachable by either hand.
The bull-pup design provides a more balanced firing platform and shorter weapon profile than conventional designs. The FS2000 weighs a mere 7.6 lb without magazine. It comes with a detachable front iron sight, and a built in rear peep-hole sight that can be flipped down when not in use. It has a 10" Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) for mounting of optics.
This particulars FS2000 has a custom 18.7"(475mm) barrel made by Herron Arms which allows it to have a non-restricted status (with the factory barrel the FS2000 is restricted, i.e. shorter than 470mm).
This particular FS2000 also includes an after-market aluminum tactical tri-mount which replaces the factory handguard (the handguard is still included for those who prefer it). The tri-mount allows for the mounting of various tactical accessories such as lights, lasers, and grips. A black vertical front grip is included free of charge for use with the tri-mount (see pictures).
This particular FS2000 also comes with an 'Urban E.R.T.' Urban-Sentry Hybrid sling complete kit, specifically designed for use with the FS2000. The sling uses 'Crye Precision's Multicam' (see picture), and also comes with a weapons catch adaptor. The Urban-Sentry Hybrid sling kit allows for use in both single-point, and two-point modes. A 'Quick Clip Sling Thing' comes mounted on the tri-mount providing an attachment point for use of the sling in two-point mode. The sling is already attached and set up for a right-handed user, however, it can easily be removed and re-attached in a left-handed configuration. In my opinion this is the best sling available on the market for the FS2000.

I purchased this rifle upon returning from Afghanistan only 3 months ago. It was my dream weapon, however, for training purposes I've realized that I should have an AR-15 instead. The FS2000 is simply too different from what I use as a soldier, and I need to train with what I actually use. In my own opinion the FS2000 is far superior to the AR-15 in ergonomics, weight distribution, and ambidexterity. Unfortunately I don't see the CF adopting such an awesome weapon in the near future. If I had the money to own both I would keep it, but alas it has to go. It has only 60 rounds through it, and has been very well taken care of. No parts are missing and I will ship it in its original box. It is practically new. I definetely recommend this rifle to any tactical firearms enthusiast. It not only talks the talk, but walks the walk!
To follow is a rundown of how much I spent on this weapon and the provided accesories. I'm providing this to put the cost in perspective. It is an expensive weapon, but as they say 'you get what you pay for':

The buy-out is $3500 flat. This will save you more than $300 over the cost I paid. You might say, well it's not brand new. I've taken care of this weapon as though it were my own child, and have only fired 60 rounds through it (which is nothing). I will also do a detailed strip and cleaning before shipping the weapon so you receive it as good as new.
To initiate the transfer of the weapon
through the CFC I will require the name, address, and firearms license
number of the winning bidder. If the winning bidder or individual who chooses to 'buy-out' is a resident of Southern Ontario, I can deliver the firearm in person (after confirming the transfer with the CFC). Payment must be either bank draft or money order. All funds must be recieved prior to receipt of the rifle. I can ship regular post to anywhere in Canada for those who are beyond my geographical area.
